Trailblazers: Arrive Home Safely
The King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by My Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world.
Matthew 25:34 (NIV)
Where’s our true home? Obviously, Heaven! Then why do we so easily forget (and become preoccupied with this one)?
As a “comfy” American Christian, I know I’ve overly feathered my nest. (I’m not alone. Most of us like feathers:)
We’re tempted to build Towers of Babel, filling them up with trophies and trifles. I bow to saints who choose simpler lifestyles. In this practice, they’re following Jesus.
I don't think God hates beautiful houses, but I’m quite certain He DOES hate idols. Heedlessly, one can become the other.
But what about the people with no choice– caught in the tidal wave of homelessness? Over 150 million are NOW stuck between rocks and hard places. “Rocks” are abuse, war zones, and poverty. “Hard places” are streets, shacks, tents, and prisons.
This pandemic of need is overwhelming, it’s tempting to look the other way. Since the world can be such a nasty place, we choose comfort zones over battle zones.
Actors, models, and talent for Christ:
As trailblazers, you’re leading people home: home to the safety of Father and Son; home to a loving fellowship of faith.
The biggest dangers for Western Christians are neither Satan nor flagrant sinners, neither Hollywood nor foreign missions. They're sit-tight churches with turn-up noses. They're apathy and half-committed hearts.
This isn’t you. (Don’t let it become you!)
Performers for Christ: Within you, I see the courage to go unto all nations, the calling to lead men without judgment. I believe you're on fire with fervent hearts. So embrace your roles in entertainment. Continue through thorns, trials, and troubles.
The trails you blaze will save more lives than yours.

NOTE: God is my Ghostwriter. If what I write is good, it’s from God. You may see notes to 'Actors, Models & Talent for Christ.' If you think you're not in show business, think again. Shakespeare said, 'All the world's a stage and all its men and women merely players.’ Mostly true. But you're not merely players. You are messengers and ambassadors for the King of kings.
