Trailblazers: Study The Map

Your Word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.

Psalm 119:105 (NIV)

I’m FULLY sold out on the Word of God. I follow behind it as MY Trail Guide. I cling to It like a Life Preserver. I run into it like a strong Fortress.

Some parts of God’s Word give me a “workout”! My mind and my mouth have to “chew” on it. My nevertheless, all the more response? I swallow the Bread of Life faithfully. I defend it as the last Word on Earth.

I could go on about the Word’s value, but Israel’s greatest king did it first. 'The Law of Your Mouth is better to me than thousands of coins of gold and silver' (Psalm 119:72); 'I will walk in Your truth' (Psalm 86:11); 'I will run the course of Your Commandments' (Psalm 119:32).*

Actors, models, and talent for Christ:

Your #1 Script is ALWAYS Scripture. Your foremost Director is ALWAYS God.

  • Your utmost acting Coach is His Spirit.

  • Your utmost Star to follow is Jesus.

  • Your utmost plot Line is His Commission.

  • Your talent is His property (not yours).

  • Your airtime is for His increase (not yours).

  • Your job is to glorify Him (not you),

  • And your behavior off-set is the key!

But how can you blaze a glorious trail through the murky messes of media… without the power found in His Word and without the fire of His Holy Spirit?

Considering the strength of this empire, its thorny barbs and twisting temptations, I don't think a disconnected Christian stands a chance– and much less, to lead others.

But with Jesus, you stand MORE than a chance. You're already placed in the winning lane. Just follow Him closely and hold the course.

Here's the bottom line:

Your media course is a marathon, and all marathons have guiding markers. YOUR no-fail Markers are the Words of His Book. So study His Lines each day of your life. They’ll keep you safe and on track. GUARANTEED!

NOTE: God is my Ghostwriter. If what I write is good, it’s from God. You may see notes to 'Actors, Models & Talent for Christ.' If you think you're not in show business, think again. Shakespeare said, 'All the world's a stage and all its men and women merely players.’ Mostly true. But you're not merely players. You are messengers and ambassadors for the King of kings.

* One of David's Psalms teaching the value of God's Word is Psalm 19: https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Psalm+19&version=NKJV

* My favorite Psalm is 119. It's subtitled in the NKJV as 'Meditation on the Excellencies of the Word of God.': https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Psalm+119&version=NKJV
