Soldier's Orders: Exceeding Expectations *

God gave Solomon wisdom and exceedingly great understanding, and largeness of heart like the sand on the seashore.

1 Kings 4:29 (NKJV)

Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord,  as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature…

1 Peter 1:2-5 (NKJV)

  • Abraham exceeded all known customs… when he believed God exceeded idols.

  • Isaac exceeded what most boys would do… when he laid quietly on an altar.

  • Jacob exceeded what most men would do,… when he submitted to his uncle's cons.

  • Joseph exceeded what most slaves would do… when showed excellence in every way.

  • Moses exceeded what most princes do… when he left his royal life and perks.

  • Caleb exceeded younger men’s vigor… when he led a charge at age 85.

  • David exceeded again and again… when he trusted God in every challenge.

  • Solomon exceeded all reigning kings… when he asked God for nothing but wisdom.

  • Esther exceeded what most queens would do… when she risked her life to save her people.

  • Mary exceeded all other women… when she said “YES!” to God’s strange request.

  • Peter exceeded “educated” Jews… when he humbled himself before God's Son.

  • Jesus exceeded all people on Earth… when He willingly hung upon a Cross.

Actors, models, and talent for Christ:

Your exceedingly abundant Captain and Savior loves you wholeheartedly. He works steadily. He gives lavishly.

He expects YOU to exceed normalcy. So… exceed easy faith. Exceed wordily fame. Go the extra mile. God notices, and He will reward you.

Now to Him Who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen’ (Ephesians 3:20-21).

NOTE: God is my Ghostwriter. If what I write is good, it’s from God. You may see notes to 'Actors, Models & Talent for Christ.' If you think you're not in show business, think again. Shakespeare said, 'All the world's a stage and all its men and women merely players.’ Mostly true. But you're not merely players. You are messengers and ambassadors for the King of kings.
