Soldier’s Orders: Do Not Fear
No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life; as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you nor forsake you. Be strong and of good courage, for to this people you shall divide as an inheritance the land which I swore to their fathers to give them. Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go. This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.
Joshua 1:5-9 (NKJV)
The Word of God talks about fear A LOT. But everyone knows, soldiers MUST face it– So, too. every honest-to-God Christian!
Because living a life of adventure and following our callings with BLIND FAITH… into new and unknown situations, in fields or missions thought to be “risky”, seems to be incredibly dangerous. Who in the world would willingly do it?
Actors, models, and talent for Christ!
You, like Jesus, are ‘called, chosen and faithful’ (Revelation 17:14). You, like Jesus, have assigned jobs to do. Does it carry an undermining fear?
Fear that you aren’t (and can’t be) good enough.
Fear that you’re too old, new, or unattractive.
Fear that you don’t have the time or money.
Fear that you (or your loved ones) will be harmed.
Fear that you won’t book… or be successful.
Fear that your dream is selfish or foolish.
Fear that this calling isn’t “practical”.
I believe most Bible heroes felt fear, but they beat it with overwhelming faith!
Abraham walked into an unknown land.
Young Isaac laid meekly on an altar.
Jacob faced his brother’s righteous anger.
Joseph was sold as a slave in Egypt.
Moses didn’t want to speak to Pharoah.
Joshua got 3 God-given “pep talks.”
Peter felt fear and denied his Savior.
Actors, models, and talent for Christ!
Leaders feel fear, but don’t let it stop them. God reassured and ORDERED Joshua to go to battle in the Promised Land. His wars were with men. Yours is with Satan– and you have God’s Spirit to push him back!
Lost lambs (fans) are looking for a hero. Your rise in media can point the way to the one, never-fail hero: Jesus!

NOTE: God is my Ghostwriter. If what I write is good, it’s from God. You may see notes to 'Actors, Models & Talent for Christ.' If you think you're not in show business, think again. Shakespeare said, 'All the world's a stage and all its men and women merely players.’ Mostly true. But you're not merely players. You are messengers and ambassadors for the King of kings.
